I am thankful for the opportunity to attend PAPS 2024 and present my research on "Understanding Liquid Crystal Elastomer Behaviors Polymerized with Flow Chemistry." The conference brought together leading experts from academia and industry, sparking valuable discussions on a wide range of polymer advancements. Key highlights included innovative concepts like integrating car batteries with body shells to reduce weight, and advanced detection methods such as dynamic light scattering devices for rapid particle size analysis in polymer solutions. The discussions on bridging the gap between cutting-edge research and industrial applications, such as anti-corrosion coatings for ships, were particularly inspiring.
I would like to sincerely thank my supervisors, Richard Mandle, Nicholas Warren, and Devesh Mistry, as well as our postdocs in the SMP group, for their invaluable guidance. I also appreciate the support from SMP conference funding and the organizers, the Institute of Physics.
